Here's another fun upcoming auction in your town. Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod (currently building a home on Atwood in Wellfleet) will host a painted mailbox auction at Chequessett Yacht and Country Club on Friday , May 28th from 5 to 8. They have 60 beautifully painted mailboxes which can be seen online. Bids are starting online, too. Gift certificates will be tucked inside many of the boxes. There's a great variety, take a look. (I tried to link it here, but it didn't work.) Among them are beach scenes, boats, surfboard/woody, garden flowers, whales, yum yums, mermaids, abstracts, fish, bluebirds, lighthouses, on and on. You just have to google habitat of Cape Cod mailbox auction and watch the flicker show. We're looking forward to it... maybe we'll get a new mailbox on Friday and a new birdhouse on Sunday, both for great causes. Dave and his friends Dave Sanderson and Bob Sadowski volunteered pouring the basement for the habitat house recently. David likes producing videos for Habitat. Several short ones are posted on You Tube, including the beginnings of the new Wellfleet home. Thanks for your blog. Janet

I think that the show is at the First Congregational Church, however, I have to check because the web page just says "Wellfleet."
