I could stare at this for ever- it looks soooo restful. Can I ask you about the people there in your area...are they friendly? Or are they more 'stand offish'- just curious.

Yes, people are friendly. In summer, everyone is busy working because of the seasonal economy. I would not call them "stand-offish" at all. I wrote a post six years ago about the population, the natives, the summer folk, the tourists, etc.
