Places to Propose in Wellfleet?

An ocean beach, Uncle Tim’s Bridge, Duck Harbor … Several weeks ago someone Googled “places to propose in Wellfleet.” Could that person have been our guest Andreas, I wonder? Yesterday morning, at breakfast, the couple staying in our Green Room told me that they had become engaged. They got up early and went to Cahoon Hollow Beach, where Andreas proposed to Jessica. Jessica said yes, so the couple will be married next year. Andreas is in the Swedish army. Jessica just graduated from a masters program in international relations at Columbia. She will now be looking for a job in her home country, working, in the meantime, on her pet project, the establishment of a children’s home in Mwanza, Tanzania. (The name of the charity she started is Great Vision.) I’m delighted this Swedish couple decided to get married and know Wellfleet will always occupy a special place in their hearts.
