Everywoman thinks
As she watches the ocean:
This is harmony.
Blue sky above me
Warm sun on my back and thighs:
Dreaming of summer.
My heels sink in sand
Such a delicious feeling –
Nature heals all wounds.
This is a blog about living on Cape Cod and running a Wellfleet bed & breakfast, open year long. I'm a Russian-American who spent 25 years in France. My husband Sven is from Sweden. Sweden’s colors are blue & yellow. Mix them, and you get green, a concept we embrace. No chemicals, please, and organic food whenever possible . . .

Alexandra Grabbe is also the author of French Graffiti, a paperback collection of essays about living in France. Copies are available through this Web site for $17.50, including shipping and handling.

Alexandra,
are you familar with a song Cathie Ryan wrote called Be Like the Sea?
you might like it -- even if it's not your sort music,I think you'd like her idea in the song.
I was just thinking on this cold dreary almost December morning, what would make me really happy now?
A warm sunny beach.
Nice job with haiku --
you can capture so much in
some well-chosen words.

Beautiful! But it's not summer anymore. I guess the poems and the gorgeous photographs will have to warm us until the weather turns warm again!
