There's lots going on as we approach the mid-August mark.
Yesterday night Jimmy Tingle rocked Preservation Hall. If you missed the show, go next Wednesday.
Tonight Sebastien Junger will speak at the Congregational Church, a 7:30 pm event to benefit our library. Friends of the Wellfleet Libraries is also staging their second annual book sale on Sunday, Town Hall parking lot, from 9 to 1.
If you've got a Kindle and prefer to spend your hard-earned dollars at a benefit for Preservation Hall, attend Las Vegas Night, tonight, Thursday, 7 pm, with a $10 entry fee and a huge silent auction.
On Saturday, take in an opening at Left Bank Gallery on Commercial Street: new work by Ellen Grantner and Graceann Warn will be on display.
On August 13, the Burdick Art Gallery will be hosting An Evening from Paris, honoring artist Lynn Shaler and presenting the American debut of her limited edition etching, "Le Printemps Parisien". Burdick Art Gallery is located at 25 Bank Street. The reception will be held from 6 - 8:00. Lynn will give a talk about her art from 1 - 2:00 on Sunday.
Don't forget the excellent plays at WHAT.
And, on Sunday, don't miss the 10th Annual Reception & Charity Auction organized by the Wellfleet Alzheimer's Association, from 3 to 7 at the Inn at Duck Creeke where you can even bid on organic cotton sheets donated by Chez Sven ...
