Cape Cod To Be Featured on Good Morning America

Muck, that's what I call what's on Newcomb Hollow Beach this week. It's unpleasant to swim in because it gets into bathingsuits, sticky on the barefeet when you walk along the shore, and quite ugly to look at. Check out how clear the water was June 17th! Despite the reality of seaweed at our beaches, Cape Cod will be featured on tomorrow morning's Good Morning America in the segment "The Most Beautiful Places in America." Here's the segment, but be forewarned: most of the coverage is of Newport!

Seems to show up every year. A seaweed harvest. The locals call it Mung. Slightly more exotic than muck. Hopefully it will go away soon. Newcomb's still the best beach in Wellfleet.

You're right, Don. That's it's name. Mung. I still call it muck.
There's a story in the NY Times about drug crime on the Cape. It was on the main page on line yesterday.

I saw an article online the other day about the erosion on the beaches in Cape Cod. I thought you might be writing about it, as you have in the past.
