Congratulations to The Beachcomber, which has again won an award. Check it out here. We went down this afternoon, to Cahoon Hollow, but the restaurant was still closed. There was a sign on the door indicating The Beachcomber will open tomorrow, June 17th. It closes Labor Day weekend. Now there’s a great gig: work two and a half months and relax for the other nine and a half!
Since the weekend is coming up, I thought it would be a good time to remind everyone that Preservation Hall is staging a Fowl & Flowers happening on Saturday. Here’s your chance to visit the very best chicken coops of Wellfleet.
Maybe these kids, returning from Cahoon Hollow after a great day at the beach, will eat strawberries this weekend? The Historical Society is holding their annual Strawberry Festival on Sunday. (And, I still don’t know whether the strawberries are organic …)
Jump a week and plan to attend Meet & Greet at Wellfleet’s new pharmacy. Friday, June 24th from 5 to 7 pm. Tickets start at $50.
And, don’t forget the excellent plays at WHAT this month. Great reviews can be found on their Web site ….
