What Wellfleet Restaurants Are Open This Fall?

Today I surveyed local restaurants and their post-Labor-Day plans. This was a very depressing enterprise for someone who hopes Wellfleet can have more going on in the shoulder-season. It became quickly apparent that dining out on Mondays & Tuesdays will be challenging this fall … Lots of restaurants in Provincetown do stay open though. Guests be forewarned! Make reservations if you want dinner on Mondays and Tuesdays! Otherwise, there's great pizza at the Red Barn in Eastham, on the way to Wellfleet. I will research other local restaurants, but for now, this list will have to do.


Beachcomber is closed as of Labor Day

Blackfish closes end October. Off 9/9/ & 910, otherwise open.

Bookstore, YR. Closed Tuesdays.

Catch of the Day closes October 25.

D’Italia’s, YR. Closed Mondays.

Duck Creek Tavern closes Oct. 11. Closed Mondays & Tuesdays.

Finely JPs closes Sun. Dec. 6, then opens again Thursday 14 Jan.

Flying Fish closes after Oysterfest. Open all week.

The Juice is CLOSED. OPENS FOR OYSTERFEST

Mac’s Seafood closes Sept. 13.

Mac’s Shack closes after Oysterfest. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Marconi Beach closes Oct. 27. Tuesdays it is closed.

Moby Dick’s closes Oct. 12.

Pearl closes Oct. 18.

PJ’s closes Oct. 11. Shut on Wednesdays.

Rookie’s closes Oct. 11. Mon, Tues, Wed it is closed.

Terra Luna will close Oct. 11. Monday and Tuesday are days off.

Wicked Oyster is open year round. Wednesday is day off.

Van Rensselaer’s closes Oct. 25.

Wellfleet Town Pizza is open year round but closed Monday and Tuesday.

Winslow’s Tavern closes Oct. 18. Monday is day off.

Whitman House closes Dec. 12.

Wicked Oyster and The Bookstore both close for a month or two in the winter, but I have not been able to pinpoint the exact dates yet. This is most dismal! Last year they closed at the same time and the Town Administrator, new to Wellfleet, had trouble finding dinner. Let's hope this year they confer before deciding when to take a vacation. I look forward to the opening of our new French bistro. Bet I'm not the only one who's eager to dine there!
