We were given a bee house recently--a wooden structure you mount somewhere (near flowers) that bees will come and use as a house. In Oregon, where I live, populations are on the decline as well. But bottom line is we can't allow NStar to spray pesticides that will further decimate the bees. Sometimes it is hard to imagine how we will ever repair all the damage that has already been done - let alone prevent more.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20448505.post-43491062157657407262009-11-11T00:57:57.029-05:002009-11-11T00:57:57.029-05:00Bees are fascinating creatures. I read a few books on beekeeping earlier this year and the more I read the more interesting they seemed.

CCD is a scary problem that may cause a lot more problems for the world than most people would expect. We sure don't need to add to the problems for bees with additional pesticides.Frugal Kiwihttp://frugalkiwi.co.nznoreply@blogger.com
